Heston Blumenthal experiments with your food

by Ed

Heston Blumenthal is the man famous for bringing the world his allegedly fabulous snail porridge. He is also now the star of the BBC TV show Full on Food. Check it out to download wacky food experiments or simply find out the science behind mashed potato and cooking meat.

Back in April Heston’s Fat Duck in Bray, a couple of hours drive from London depending on the traffic, was voted the best restaurant in the world. Matthew Fort of the Guardian said at the time:

“Some people have found the idea of dishes such as snail porridge, cauliflower risotto with chocolate jelly, chips that take three days to prepare and carrot toffee as bizarre at best, but the critics and guides, with very few exceptions, have been unanimous in their praise.”

Still if you don’t like it, you could always complain. My complaint is that I have to travel 15,000 Km for it.

Heston’s recent episodes have gotten a lot crazier, like making meat desserts and feeding people laughing gas. Well worth a watch.
