Andre Michelin was a Papal Knight, the Catholic Church stood to lose it's interests in the rubber plantations, about two million dollars at the time, and for this reason Catholic politicians of the USA, NZ and Australia were cajoled by the Vatican into sending troops to invade Vietnam for the purpose of holding on to it's financial grip and kill any of it's citizens who did not convert to Catholicism.

Obviously bad things happened on both sides but Uncle Ho was pretty much an all round good guy. He really was a man of the people and still is a national hero with his face plastered everywhere. I really want to find out more about him. We saw his pickled body but apprarently he didn't want all the hoopla.
