Trinidad and Tobago Apparently you can’t go past Stag. According to Backpacker.com (and backpackers do know these things) it’s a man’s beer at 5 per cent alcohol:
“Not sweet like Carlsberg, not sour like Heinekin (sic), just a well brewed beer with a manly taste!!”
Sweden Apparently one of the best beers in Sweden is Kalasöl. According to the World of Beer :
“The aroma is rich with fresh hop, tobacco and dried leaf notes while the taste begins dry and earthy, moves through a spicy (black pepper, clove), fresh hop middle and finishes earthy, roasty and moderately bitter. If it had any fruitiness at all, I would be tempted to consider this an ale, but as it is, I found it well balanced, quenching and very enjoyable.”
Well, Sven, his is really a match between the World of Beer and backpackers. I reackon the backpackers have the popular vote.
BEER WINNER: Trinidad and Tobago
