Yes, Anthony Bourdain is nearly always among the top 10 search strings in this blog. No, I don’t have an answer to the question.

There’s a rumour that Melbourne hospitals lay on extra staff in the Emergency Department at this time of year. Yes, it's tomato season and given our vast migrant population, there will invariably be a few home-bottling and canning disasters. Every Italian…

Wow — this is a great site. Thanks for listing the top searches on food blogs. Who knew?
Very interesting — especially about the Antony B inquiry!
Paz
Well I imagine recent searches are because he’s got a new show out, hasn’t he? That and the fact that he is one of the sexiest men alive (chainsmoking not withstanding). Although I would question whether you can trust a skinny cook . . . or just envy them.
Do you suppose the 115 people searching for “tomato” are disappointed by the lack of information on tomatoes?
Hi, Bibliochef
These are just the ones from my site for six weeks.
Tim, you could be right. But Paz found me interesting.
Cheers Paz.
I’ve just been through all my stats since July 2005. 30 people searched for Anthony Bourdain. 133 – four times as many – wanted to know if Anthony Bourdain is gay.
Hi Rachel. Envy probably…although I suspect he lives on his nerves.
LOL! Yes! I ALWAYS find you interesting!
Best,
Paz
I don’t get the popularity of mafia searches. I guess I’ve been reading the wrong posts …
Kate, it’s probably something to do with the Sopranos and they find me ‘cos I keep talking about “pizza joints”.
Paz, thanks. I might post thee lists monthly and we can track how often Anthony Bourdain features – straight up or gay.
So is Anthony Bourdain REALLY a homo?
Chongalones, that is the question everybody is asking but as yet we have no answer.
Anthony Bourdain is married and doubdtfully gay. I already made a hell of a lot of research on the subject since I go crazy in love every time I see him. And the smoking and drinking just makes him more interesting to me, even if I don;t smoke nor drink… One of these days I probably will end up stalking him, just to get a good look at him and pass out in the middle of the street happily.
Hi Michelle, he’s a pretty cool person in person it’s just that is what people serach for. See my latest entry for July search terms!
Hahaha. I had no idea that a zillion other people are wondering the same thing as I am.
you know i noticed something sort of strange and I think that AB might be gay… if you have seen his Shanghai episode (excellent I might add) he is sporting a Provincetown (Recreation Dept.) sport type T-Shirt… Provincetown MA is known for its majority homosexual population and the Recreation Dept. thing well I don’t know?
Hehe, I’m watching the shanghai episode and noticed the Ptown shirt too and decided to google it up. Turns out he got his first restaurant job in Ptown back in the 70′s, so it’s probably a reference to his roots and not his orientation.
he is wearing the same shirt on the azores episode and we found this website from searching “is anthony bourdain gay?”. we live close to Ptown and know all about the residents there so we were curious
I thought he is gay because he is always with a male whenever he goes out to eat or explore in his travels. That’s what prompted me to search to see I presumed correctly. I think he should be if he isn’t.
I have become concerned that Anthony Bourdain may be sick. He seems to have lost some color and robustness, and in last night’s episode in Manchuria, I noticed he was wearing bulky sweaters a lot. I wonder if this is to hide a sudden weight loss.
I realize my imagination could be running wild, and I have not found anything online to support this and I do hope I’m wrong.
But c’mon, hasn’t anyone else noticed a frailer Bourdain?
At first I thought marriage had softened him and taken away his edge, but I don’t think it’s that. Something else seems to have sapped him. Maybe he’s just burnt out and tired of the whole gig.
If anyone has heard anything, please let me know. THanks.
Debbie, I think he says that he’s lost his edge in his latest book.
