Perhaps your way here from the food issue of The Age (Melbourne) Magazine . If you haven’t seen the mag, London-based Aussie food writer Terry Durack quotes Anthony Bourdain from an interview with Tomato from a year ago.
You can check out my full Anthony Bourdain archive. He says this of Ronnie di Stasio in part 3: “He’s a fucking madman. And you have to be a fucking madman to be in the reastaurant business. There should be a statue of him in the neigbourhood. In all ways he is not bogus. He is passionate about food.”

Lookalikes: Susan Sontag and Anthony Bourdain

Part 2: On Ladro

Part 3: Eating in Melbourne

Part 4: No hippy shit

Part 5: casual eating

Hi Ed,
I was working on my blogroll tonight and discovered that the last time I worked on it (whenever it was) I had left off a bracket which dissolved the link to your blog into Tony’s Food Chronicles, making it look like I took you off. No idea if you noticed, but if you did I wanted to be sure you knew it was NOT intentional. I”m so sorry. (Damn Blogger where you have to do all this by hand!) Anyway it is fixed and you are properly linked up again! Hope you’re not freezing down there.
Cheers!
Kalyn

Hi Ed
Got any tips on good wine appreciation beginners courses - in city/carlton/brunswick. Or anyone who’d teach half a dozen enthusiastic amateurs?
Thanks AOF

AOF, Martin Field does courses over at Jimmy Watsons on Lygon St. Four Tuesday Evenings October 10, 17, 24, 31, 20067 pm to 9.30 pm.$195.00 per person including G.S.T. he says ther is a 10% discount for six or more people.
