Fennb, since I wrote this I have tried Junipera - right at the top. And there are some other interesting ones out there. Larks too. Have you tried Larks from Tasmania?

Weighing in very late to this post -

I tend to agree - Hendrick's is probably my favourite gin. I'd highly recommend giving Junipero (terrible website: http://www.anchorbrewing.com/about_us/junipero.htm) a go.

I'd never have thought I'd be recommending a gin from California, but there you have it.

I am informed by McWilliams, the Australian distributors, that Hendrick's will be available in Dan Murphy and Vintage Cellar bottleshops from June.

I gather Hendricks is available duty free here but I didn’t see it recently.

Hendricks is available duty free at Melbourne airport. I bought a bottle for $55 this week. Does anyone know where else it is available to buy in Melbourne?

Kylie, I have no idea what was happening in the pick but it was there. I reckon one of those posh bottle shops in the CBD will sell it.

As one who was privy to a fabulous Hendricks martini at the weekend, I have to ask - was that photo from the party? What was going on?
I'm going to start my search for Hendricks this week...

Ros,, that seems like a fair list and I would probably add Miller's as No.2. I should also probably add 42 Below into the list somewhere in the top three or four. Apparently Miller's is available through Oddbins and Sainsbury's plus places like Harvey Nics.

Neil, I know that Miller's is available in a lot of the good bars (George backbar) and Hendrick's is in The Gin Palace. They are available locally in retail it is just difficult to find where.I gather Hendricks is available duty free here but I didn't see it recently.
