Inside the Gertrude St Enoteca (229 Gertrude St, Fitzroy +61 9415 8262)
The last time I was at the Enoteca was to be cured of an excess of chocolate. The cure came in the form of an iced Poire William eaux de vie – a bit like a Poire William martini. It worked.
By tomorrow I will have recovered from yesterday’s and tonight’s chocolate excess and will be sticking to a sigle glass of wine or mineral water.
The meet is set for 12.30 and it looks like there will be five, perhaps six of us. We can’t book so it would be wise to turn up early and check out the back where we could be searching for space.

Dont think I’m going to be able to make it Ed. I’ll look forward to the feed from your blog to find out what happened. BTW have sent a couple of messages to you through your other site.
SK
Hocrap – that’s happening now!! Sorry Ed, am currently running around the house getting ready to set off cockroach bombs, looks like I won’t be there
Well, I got there at 12.30pm and with the help of the waiter concluded that none of the occupied tables met your description. I even mentioned food blogs several times to him in the hope that somebody would overhear.
I sat sipping sparkling water for half an hour waiting for more likely-looking people to arrive, then got self-conscious and left, despondent.
Can’t say I didn’t try.
What happened???
Still interested in beinng involved though…
Ellie,
murderer!
Mairead, we were there lurking near the back and AOF had her white Macbook on the table. I was 20 minutes late diue to general poor planning. You must have been near the front. Sorry but i’ll post some stuff on it at the weekend.
Did anything ever happen about this in the end? Still interested in being involved. Never really saw a follow-up on your site but I may have missed it.
