Excellent brains
The play The History Boys is very good but perhaps a little long. Our meal at Walter’s Wine Bar (Southbank +61 3 9690 9211) also went on a little long perhaps due to some funky odd service. The food was pretty good but it was so noisy that conversation was almost impossible.

I took my sister to Walter’s recently for her birthday and loved the brain croquettes. Most impressive though was the service – friendly and attentive without being OTT – and the excellent oysters. My sister’s risotto and chocolate mousse were pretty boring though.

Funnily enough we were out for a friend’s birthday. I think we all enjoyed the food. The problem on the service was that it was a little obtrusive and we sat there with our plates in front of us waiting for a bottle of red we had ordered earlier which we could see on the bar but couldn’t get.
