Well done Tim Blair for spotting that Australian of the Year Tim Flannery buys local produce, but when at lunch with Margaret Fulton drinks water that is bottled some 15,000km away. Check out the bottle of shame here.

(The shame of it. (Just kidding. I don’t buy water that much, but when I do I’m likely to choose Fiji water, so it’s a good thing I don’t act all righteous about eating local.)

kalyn, I’m just kicking my Italian water habit. Figi luckily is only 2,500km away for us. We do have a spa town called Daylesford less than 100km away though where you can handpump a sulphurous water with a tiny bit of fizz. I reckon I may go up there with a couple of flaggons - or just learn to love tap (while we still have it).

You can thank me for that. I comment at Tim Blair’s under the pseudonym ilibcc. Don’t ask.
