Catch-22 I can’t give up blogging

Catch22

“Incredibly witty and funny, you have a taste for irony in all that you see. It seems that life has put you in perpetually untenable situations, and your sense of humor is all that gets you through them. These experiences have also made you an ardent pacifist, though you present your message with tongue sewn into cheek. You could coin a phrase that replaces the word “paradox” for millions of people.”

Hmmm…I got Catch-22 as my book too, and I have been moving paintings in my house over the last few days. Worse still…I’ve just done some book quiz that I found on some guys blog.

If my toe gets slammed, it sounds like an email chain letter in the making.

I got Animal Farm. The years that I’ve spent living under an Orwellian regime in Cambodia must be rubbing off on me.

Andrew, the trouble is I wasn’t even hanging the paintings. I just bumped into one and just discovered a splinter in my ear.
Phil, nice one. Do you think you’ll ever recover.

You’re One Hundred Years of Solitude!
by Gabriel Garcia Marquez
Lonely and struggling, you’ve been around for a very long time. Conflict has filled most of your life and torn apart nearly everyone you know. Yet there is something majestic and even epic about your presence in the world. You love life all the more for having seen its decimation. After all, it takes a village.

Kylie, I can’t believe it, especially seeing as you have a younger man habit.

Stickfingers, Is that all true?

Stickyfingers July 26, 2007 at 2:17 pm

Sadly Ed, it’s true. My life has the makings of an screenplay. Perhaps that’s why I find solace in gastronomic pursuits.

When I did the quiz, ‘Which Country Are You?’ I came up as the joyful, yet turbulent Brazil, hmm, better extend my runway before anything more disasters happen – LOL!

Loved the Nobu review BTW

You’re The Guns of August!
by Barbara Tuchman
Though you’re interested in war, what you really want to know is what
causes war. You’re out to expose imperialism, militarism, and nationalism for what they
really are. Nevertheless, you’re always living in the past and have a hard time dealing
with what’s going on today. You’re also far more focused on Europe than anywhere else in
the world. A fitting motto for you might be "Guns do kill, but so can
diplomats."

at the Blue Pyramid.

It’s fitting in part but not in others…Funny about the war thing though coz I can be a bit “…there but for the grace of God…” in relation to the world wars.

Stickyfingers, Please i had enough talk of Brazilians and runways from the posse at Nobu, BTW I’m Mexico “While some people think you’re poor and maybe a little corrupt, you know where it’s at, enjoying good food and nice beaches. ” I had three goes to get Mexico though rejecting the US and Cyprus!
Davy, so which country are you then?

Davy July 27, 2007 at 6:23 pm
