We enjoyed a fairly good meal at C'est Bon last night. Somehow it just missed the mark for being really good. We didn't have the bouillabaisse but I think, despite the reservations of the above comments, it's worth a visit. See my review at www.1001dinners.blogspot.com
On another subject I love the idea of a bloggers big night out. Lets do it.
Lets just invite expressions of interest for a couple of weeks and if there is enough interest book a place for a perhaps a Monday night when many restaurants might normally be closed.
What do you think Ed Could you be the person to hold a list of want to be in it bloggers?

Ed
Just noticed you have amended your comments on the potatoes in the bouillabaisse.
I had been meaning to comment that I had the pleasure of eating bouillabaisse in beautiful Marseille a week ago and on both ocassions that I was served it, it had potatoes poached in the broth.
I noticed the service was a little different also to what we do in Aust. with the broth served first with croutons, raw garlic to rub and rouille, and then the fish in a little broth is served as a second course. The fish was always cooked on the bone and filleted off in an elaborate ceremony by the waiter.
Shame about your experience at C'est Bon, I was looking forward to going, perhaps I have to call and make sure Amelie is there first.

I've amended the potato line as through my own ignorance I didn't realise that some versions of bouillabaisse contain potatoes. There is a fairly vigorous debate on which one is the authentic one. The Old Foodie has a pretty goof post explaining everything.
Check it out here:

Kitchenhand, I know. Sometimes I think I'm being a fascist but it is pretty basic. What surprises me is that they have had some very good reviews.

Presenting a dish at a table at which the appropriate cutlery has not been provided is a gross error and must be corrected immediately, not in the waiter's good time.

Sounds like the senior downsizers are channelling their glorious 1960s. Quelltaler hock, anyone?
