I guess there are more than a few July 4 hangovers out there. We had a big one last night debating the innocence of immigrant doctors and our dreadful prime minister. It started with a crisp riesling and ended with super premium vodka so cold it froze the outside of my glass. And it is back to Marinetti’s La Cucina Futurista.

The regenerator

(formula by futurist engineer Barosi)

Ingredients

an egg yolk

half a glass of Asti Spumante

3 toasted nuts

3 teaspoons of sugar

Beat the whole lot together for ten minutes. Serve in a glass with a peeled banana sticking out of it.

Just to tickle the palate you may like something Sweet and Strong (formula by Signora Barosi):

A traidue of two slices of bread and butter, spread with mustard and enclosing bananas and anchovies.

Enjoy!
