It was the year 1987 the year that Oliver Stone’s Wall Street hit the big screens that this style of apron was first seen in the smart restaurant dining room. Greed was good and Thatcher was in power. I was poor and saved up

Thanks Ed! Maybe you just could wear the apron instead? And skip the dry cleaner, leave the jumpers in the sun instead. (oh and that advice does nothing for my mid-life crisis, how boring can I get I wonder, advice against moth?) Did you make that knife holder yourself? Is it a leather strap attached to the book shelf with nails, could it be so simple and genial?

Yes, I’m worried about you. I’m sure the other week I saw a pic of some incontinence pants on your blog. I’m afraid it’s very wet here right now although the sun peeked out today and that the knife rack isn’t quite as elegant as you imagine – it’s a magnetic one from Ikea. Incidently, there’s a good story behind the one with the wooden handle – I found it wrapped in a rag under the sink when I lived in Syeny.

I should also learn to cook without spattering things all over myself. All my shirts have oil spots down the front. (Or maybe I could wear an apron?)

BTW, very spiffy blog header which I guess I’ve been missing seeing because I’m too lazy to click through from rss. (I love and hate rss both, is that possible?)

Kalyn – your shirts my jumper, they could make a beautiful if not food spattered couple. Don’t talk to me about feeds. I started with them in my web browser but that became too much. I’ve just manuallly tranfered them to Google reader and although it makes my life easier I’m reading less of more. It’s like there is a parralell web out there .
