@sticky -- thanks for the extra background about Noisette and Cacao. I'm probably heading down that way tomorrow... oh wait, that's today now.

Well, for everyone else, permit me to say that the second part of my macaron event is now up and it contains... a recipe!

i thought I'd leave heather's comments as I thought it was funny as I have no idea what pictures or random eating she is talking of - unless it was some pictures of dog in Vietnam. Heather, could you give me a clue?

Duncan - Les macarons de Laurent have been inconsistent since Head Patissier/Boulanger of sweets, David Menard left (the Head on the savoury side is I believe still Richard Reymond, another Frenchie). David comes from five generations of Breton Bakers and les petite macarons at his Bakery at Noisette in Bay Street, Port Melbourne are lovely. I suspect he also sells to Cacao in St.Kilda, as he has them in a display case alongside Cacao's hand made chocolates.

As for the hostile remark from Heather, Papa Stickyfingers has always said, "Put an omnivore with no fear of eating the exotic in the desert and they will out live all others." Perhaps you need a better analogy for your barbs?

I saw the pictures you posted on another site and read about your interest in eating random animals of all sorts. I think you are a dispicable human being and I hope that one day you are lost in the desert and are pecked on by the desert wildlife until your flesh is gone and you're nothing but a guilty conscience.

hehehe... I'm jealous, Ed! It's interesting that the French macaron-houses are more accessible now due to their Asian outposts. Interesting, too, would be a quality comparison. Those Herm
