I think it was Nietzsche who said “The pleasure to hurt someone brings with it a rise of one’s own feeling of power & is biggest when it was preceded by a decrease (of one’s own feeling of power).”
I must say when they were laying into him with meat cleavers I did feel a bit squeamish. But, funny video clips aside, how & why is such systematic abuse allowed to continue in a workplace. I mean, we all know it’s wrong don’t we?
