I got the feeling that this was a time honoured tradition in hospitality (the cool room possibly being warmer than outdoors in wellington on a summers night). Sadly, the bloke in question has not gone on to be some big name chef. But it just goes to show, you don't have to be Ramsay to get a little kitchen action. What with the drink/drugs/unsocial working hours I don't know how people in the industry maintain healthy relationships with people outside of it anyway.
