Recently offered 'additional optional extras at $16 ea' - Beluga caviar & white truffle to top off 2 dishes at a Melbourne CBD restaurant.
Needless to say I declined .......if they are so bloody important to the dish why are are they optional?

In order to save my sanity, I decided that the commenters on your Punch post who missed the irony were, themselves, being ironic.

If the list were Australian, #127 would be "Distinguishing themselves from white Americans. Constantly."

Jitchenhand, I'll stop for now then.

Zoe, I think you are right - both. 10/10 for self analysis.

Forager, good point. I don't think many people want small bones nowadays.

I'd also add breast - chicken breast that is. Being one half of a sino-euro partnership our families never fight over who gets the breast and who gets the drumstick.
Perhaps it should extend to include any food without small bones in it.
